Carlo Wahlbeck Collection

Ajijic

Dimensions:

A pair of red shutters thrown open onto two different skies at once — a starlit crescent moon on one side, a warm desert sunset on the other — with a small potted plant and a folk figurine set on the sill between them. The window functions almost as a diptych, holding night and day, and two moods, within a single frame, evoking the lakeside village of Ajijic that gives the piece its name.
